HWO Halter Classes
Since Competitions on HWO are all based around specific disciplines, I would like to introduce
Halter Classes for those who love breeding but don't have interest in training their horses.
Much like halter classes in most breed associations, they are judged on conformation of the horse
and even color. I have various ideas on monthly competitions based solely on conformation and
appearance of your horse. It is a good way for breeders to earn some money and continue to
work on their herd.

Types of Halter Classes

Breed Conformation
In this class the participants are judged on how closely they resemble the real-life breed standards of the chosen breed. Each class the "rule book" that reflects the breed will be posted so that participants can all agree on what breed standards should be. Each class will have a list of various point deductions, these can be anything from coat color, conformation scores, to appearance. This takes into consideration the rating system in place already in HWO which will weight the heaviest in judging.Every participant will start at 100 and will be deducted points based on if they meet the criteria or not. The horse in the class with the highest score wins, if two horses are tied at 100, then Genetic Potential is used and the horse with the highest GP wins.

Discipline Conformation
In this class the participants are judged on highest conformation score in the competitions respective traits (Discipline Guide) and also the ideal body type for each discipline (p1.p2.) To decide the winner of this class, each horse will start at zero and points will be awarded base on conformation scores in the four traits that reflect the discipline. Additional points will be added for how closely your horse resembles the horse in the chart above. For example, a horse that is competing in racing will get extra points if they have long legs and lean build and horses that have stubby legs and are drafty will not get the bonus points.


Rules
-One horse per User may compete per class, there will be 2 classes each month so a user may submit 2 horses a month at most.

-Horse can be any age but must not pass or be rehomed before judging. If the horse does pass before judging can happen, it is automatically DQ.

- The horse entered can be bred by anyone but must be owned by the user who submitted it for the class. i.e. you can not enter a horse and then sell it and still collect the prize if it wins.

- Please be kind, if you do not agree with the outcome of the contest please be civil and you may ask questions why your horse didn't win but do not put down others who placed better than yours.

-There must be at least FIVE entries per class for the class to run, if a class reaches TEN horses it will automatically close and be judged.

-Only one winner will be declared per class, as I am the only one currently contributing prizes and cannot afford to spend more than that.
