Please remember to use private sales. This is what they're designed to prevent.HallOfFame 2 wrote:Please put the horse back up for offers, if you need me to I can pay you $25,000 for the horse. But the horse was not for you. Please return the horse to walnut or I. Thank you.alicorn7890 wrote:Ping

There appears to be a lot of accidentally sold horses recently and with the addition of private sales, this shouldn't really be happening at the level it is.
Remember, once a horse is sold, accidental or not, it belongs to the new owner. You can only ask for the return of the horse and if they're willing, they may return it. There is no rule stating that they must.
Remember to use private sales. Always use private sales for these transfers and figure out a way to work around other private sales if you only have two slots available for private/OBO sales.
To use private sales, when you post a horse for sale, leave the price box blank. Put nothing in it (you can also put a '0', but it's not necessary). Then be sure to click the OBO/private sale box.
Double Check your work. Make sure that the sale box is blank (or has a zero) and that the OBO box is clicked.
Only after re-checking your work, then post.
Don't forget to check it out!

Yes, it was accidentally accepted by by Walnut's friend who was with her. We both understand the horse belongs to them, but just thought it would be worth a shot.walnut the hamster wrote:BlackOak2 wrote:

You can keep him i guess it's not worth the fight. I just ask that you put DH back in front of his name. It is my brand. It stands for derpy horse which is what i breed derpy horses. it is how i can track them.alicorn7890 wrote:Ping

Then perhaps your friend shouldn't have access to your account. Or whatever shared account it is.walnut the hamster wrote:

There are many ways to work around this. Please find a way that works for you and your partners, rather than having these accidents occurring.
I don't know about the community, but I personally am getting a little frustrated that these are happening again.
I don't like to see these happening in our community. It makes for ill-feelings on both the purchaser and the seller's parts as well as forming negative feelings in the community.
Please, figure out a better way.
As it is, if you don't change something, this will most likely continue to happen.
If it continues, our admins might step in to change something and it may certainly not be what we want.
Do you need help figuring out a better way to tackle your problem?

As a last note, I understand perfectly that accidents occur and I'm more than fine with reaching out and contacting for retrieval of said horse.
But I'm not blind to the amount of happenings, nor am I blind to the wording that get's used. I can only speak for myself in such instances and not for the community as a whole, or even part. But as a player of this game and a part of this community, I can offer my opinion on it.
I hope that the horse is returned to you. I also hope that these instances smooth out and nominally return to the rare instance that it has been for quite some time.

Well, at least it's a solution.walnut the hamster wrote:

I'm sorry that it happened. I'm also sorry that they weren't willing to return the horse.
Would you be interested in a foal from a pairing of my competition bloodline horses as a thank you for allowing a peaceful resolution ($1 sale)?
