Horse Interactions

Post by Argent »

What is the purpose of giving horses treats and patting them?
What is the difference between rehoming and retiring?

Treat are the special items which can have various effects on horses. Petting is yet to be determined but I'd like some kind of social interaction between players here. So when you pet a horse, both the horse and the player would get some kind of bonus, and the owner would know that someone visited their horse.

Rehoming a horse removes the horse from the game completely (as long as the horse does not have any children), Retiring is removing the horse from the game without deleting any data. There's a bit more to both but that's the gist of them.

So is retiring kind of like an early death, or does something else happen to horses who die?

It's just a way to get a rid of a horse you don't want anymore without actually getting rid of it completely. You might need more room in your farm for example so you can retire a horse to make it inactive and make room for a new horse.
