Customizable characters!

SURELY this has been mentioned dozens of times over, but since it's been a pet peeve of mine since I've joined the game I'm gonna make some noise about it myself.

I would be more than stoked if I could actually design the character- the blonde lady that stands next to my horses- to look a certain way. At the most basal level, hair color, gender, skin tone, clothing colors, and at the more extravagant, styles of clothing, facial features, hair style, height (so I can better perceive what I personally would look like next to my horses), and what have you- so many possibilities.

For me, it would make me feel more immersed in the game as I (or whatever character I can concoct) would literally be in it. I may be an adult by definition but by golly I still enjoy playing dress up.... and online horse games, apparently.

I feel your point. I'm a short person (relatively) so I too, would like to take that avatar and make it different (in this case, shorter) than what it is. After all, a 14.2 hand horse appears so BIG to me. 14 hand is much more my size, yet with our 'person', even a 16 hand horse appears 'just right' to her.

Just took a second look at her next to one of my 16hh's- she is on the taller side, huh? I guess it never really registered since I'm decently tall for a lady- 5'8.5, probably nearer 5'9 with riding boots on. The horse I ride IRL can't be more than 15.1 (despite being an OTTB!) and my heels go just a wee bit past her belly. I look a lot better on the 16-something hh's but I'm not too concerned with that

Wow I'm about 5'7 (170 cm) and a horse I ride (grey Lipizzaner mare) is only about 14.0 and she has a very short neck so she look even smaller, but she is just a sweetheart

There has been a bit of discussion on what that character's real height is. When paired against certain horses, she does look to be at or over 6 feet, then when paired with others, she's more like 5'8", 5'10" or thereabouts. I think, if I remember correctly, our admins have said she's supposed to be 5'9"... or was that 5'7"?

Either way, most of us feel that we should be able to at least change her height to better reflect 'us'. And also, following closely on that tail end is to be able to change her from female to male.
