Having problems getting a Fallabella...

Ive gotten many horses that are 3* for Falabella... but the breed is still eluding me.

Anyone wanna guess at what I'm oopsing on?

Broodmare B is my Criollo x TB mares, Stallion B is the Criollo x TB stallions.

Shetland "x" is my stock from that name LOL

I started out crossing 2-3* matches on purposes and have since tried pretty much every cross imaginable. Probably 100 different ones at this point and still nothing.

Have you tried breeding the resulting failed foals back to your Criollo x TB horses? Doing so would result in shorter Criollo x TBs which could help you get a falabella. You need to evaluate the failed foals to see where it is they are falling short in creating a falabella and then try breeding to fix the problem.

I have all the way down to 33" Criollo x TB horses and same range Shetlands... I have all ranges of body types in both sides. I have literally crossed them all :/

I personally am curious as to how you ever managed to even get Criollos. I was originally trying for the same breeding project headed toward Miniatures, but found it nearly impossible to get Garranos, much less Criollos and eventually gave up on it. It seems to be a very challenging project, overall.

Im getting extremely frustrated. Ive gone through like 8 generations of Shetlands so far.

Same...I've gone through generations of shetlands (even took the time to breed them to turks to lower their body sizes and create 100% shetlands with lowered body size) and even managed to create shorter criollo x TBs but nothing seems to work

I've gotten very close 3* falabellas but they still end up as mixed shetlands.

My overall goal is miniatures as well maybe we can work together on this?

Hey I have a very short Akhal-Teke type mare perhaps I could help you.
Golden Ratio is only 12.3 and doesn't seem to be growing. Very proportional but small. Perhaps small thoroughbred stock?
