    • Happy New Year everyone! 2016 brings a complete overhaul of the Kaimanawa herd. I have reduced the size of my herd to 4 studs and 20 mares split between four pastures. This will aid my poor organization skills and let me get everything on track in the behind the scenes crossbreeding work. I also want to complete all the courses and get my second account up and going before I up my herd to 12 studs and 60 mares. I joined the futurity contest hosted by BrokenOak. Nothing is set in stone but the babies I entered MAY come up for sale after the contest to raise awareness and interest in the breed.

    • World Record! Hunter L10 - 48.8
      Harakeke's M136202G3P2

      Color: A/n E/n D/n Ch/ch Z/z (Silver Amber Dun)
      Sire: S131736G1P3 Dam: M132554G2P3
About average strength, nothing exciting. This stallion isn't slow, but he is no Flash Gordon! Then again, no one is. We won't know for a while, but looks like he's got a decent amount of stamina. This stallion walks in a perfect manner. Your stallion keeps time well. Well, this stallion doesn't have the worst balance, but definitely not the best either. Hard to tell how agile this stallion is, seems about average. I wouldn't rely on this stallion's brainpower to win any competitions.
      World Record! Hunter L4 - 45.16
      Harakeke's M140900G5P1

      Color: A/n E/n D/n Ch/n (Amber Dun)
Sire: MCh. S138699G4P4 Dam: Ch. M136905G2P1
This is as strong a mare as any. This mare isn't slow, but she is no Flash Gordon! Then again, no one is. Seems to have decent stamina. This mare takes steady, certain strides. This mare keeps a nice, steady pace! Your mare is pretty balanced. Seems fairly agile, but hard to say for sure. I'm not sure this mare could find her way out of a paper bag.

    • World Record! Hunter L7 - 39.85
      Harakeke's M132581G2P4

      World Record! Hunter L6 - 41.61
      Harakeke's M138693G3P2

      Color: A/n E/n D/n Z/z Cr/cr (Silver Buckskin)
      Sire: GCh. S135925G2P1 Dam: M132566G2P1
About average strength, nothing exciting. With a little training, this mare could become renowned for her speed. I'd be surprised if this mare had enough stamina to run one lap. Well, she knows what to do with her feet, moves well which is good. This mare stops and starts more than a student driver! The balance on this mare is what I'd call standard. Seems fairly agile, but hard to say for sure. I wouldn't rely on this mare's brainpower to win any competitions.

    • First Kaimanawa born on HWO!
      HH Matamua

      Color: E/n A/a D/n (Bay Dun)
Sire: Horse #101097 Dam: Horse #102934
Not all horses can be strong. Unfortunately, your filly is one of those. With a little training, this filly could become renowned for her speed. One thing this filly isn't lacking is stamina! This filly takes steady, certain strides. Man, this filly keeps a nice regular tempo, real nice! This filly is a nice ride, very well balanced. Your filly looks to be as agile as most. This filly is definitely intelligent. Really knows her stuff!
