How Can I Earn Point to get a Champion Horse?

I was wondering how I could get points for a champion horse. I really, REALLY want one but I can't seem to find out how to get one. :-(

I have a bunch of champions. If you want to take a look here:

But you can enter horses in competitions by going to " Competitions"- Upcoming Events- And enter some horses :)
