Remember this day

Post by TheGoldenSnitch1234 »

As you may know, this morning, Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris burned to the ground, with only scarce sections salvageable. As a Catholic, these places are very important to me.

If this horrible tragedy has touched your heart in any way, comment "4/15/19" down below, and join me in commemoration and mourning of this sad, sad day.

Yeah, I heard. It hits me heavily especially because I had been there only 2 years ago.

I've been watching the news feeds, it did not burn to the ground. It lost its Iconic spiral, roof (part of), and forest (aka the attic). Its Facade ( aka the iconic front) walls ( the sides of the cathedral), and Its two towers bells included complete fine. The inside of the cathedral received damage, but its salvageable. Iconic relics were saved, and tomorrow they are starting to pull funds to repair and rebuild the iconic structure back to its former glory. This includes the restoration work. Repeat it did not burn to the ground. I got my information from CNN.

Noter Dame will Rise. A donation will be opened on Tuesday by the French government for funds to rebuild what had been destroyed and to fix the rest of the iconic building. Though its sad that the roof and spire are gone, the worst was adverted. We can now look to pairs as we watch Noter Dame rise from its own ashes.

I am fortunate to say that I have been able to visit the Notre Dame before, and when I saw on the news this morning that it was burning down I didn't want to look. It made me feel like crying  I remember it being such a beautiful building and I know it was very important to France (and Catholics). I'm really sad that this happened, however, I'm really glad that not all of it was burnt to the ground. :) At least there are parts of it left, all though I wish that none of it had been burnt at all :(
