That moment when...

You're working on a breed quest and you're having so much trouble with it...
And you've been working on trying to accomplish the quest for... you can't remember how long now.
And your frustration and aggravation levels are starting to reach maximum levels...
And you go back to recheck the recipe breed to ensure you're using the right mix...
And you go back to recheck the type and size and height of your match parents are correct...
And you recheck all of this AGAIN for the umpteenth time...
And you go into your quests just to give yourself a distraction...
...
...
...
...
Then you suddenly realize the quest has already been completed.

Sometimes it just makes you want to cry...

No, these two episodes happened a week or two ago. I just had a flashback today with the Sandlewood, Spiti and Western Sudan recipes... in very quick succession. I've been working on these three for awhile... a week for the two and I think two weeks for the spiti (such a pain that one).
The flashbacks had me cruising to make sure they were still open quests.

That breed gave me trouble as well. I think I ended up going through two or three consecutive generations breeding closer matches until they finally gave me the baluchi.
There's a couple like that... then other times, they pop right out.

There does seem to be trends of some breeds being notoriously difficult.
Surprisingly, I didn't have much trouble with the Sorraia, I was revving up to fight that one and didn't need to.

You're working on a breeding quest...
You rebreed the mare a couple times and fall just a little short (sometimes literally)...
And you finally get the quest finished...
But you didn't receive the notification that it completed...
And you go in to check the completed quests...
nd it's not there...
And you check the open quests...
And it's not there...
So you, with a sinking heart, check the locked quests...
And it's there...

*Sometimes some things just make you want to cry, or throw a keyboard, toss the mouse...*

And created the next generation to get closer to the requirements...

then you look at the recipe you're actually using...
And realize you're using the
