Bought this guy, but am confused on his color

Whistle Head

I am thinking he's a roan, but I think he's also champagne. Or maybe he's a dun? I don't know...

Looking at him, I am seeing that his face is darker, which happens in a lot of Roan colored horses, but comparing him the Classic Champagne horse below he looks Classic Champagne Roan. But I could be wrong.

Roan is one of the genes that can cause a color difference between the face and the body.
In this case, however, the gene responsible is dun. If you take a look at his legs, there's distinct primitive striping apparent.
Roan, although sometimes hard to tell, especially on double dilutes, does cause a salt and pepper effect. Roan is defined as a color intermixed with white hairs. Blue roan is white hairs with black hairs, strawberry roan is white hairs with red hairs and so on.
He is also on a black base, so I agree that it's a classic champagne.
