Champagne Question
To all those that know their champagne's better than I.
Is this boy amber champagne, gold champagne or is he some sort of glitch?
I'm fully aware that his mane could be dark from sooty, but I'm not sure that's exactly what it is.
And I'm kicking myself I didn't get a little earlier picture closer to his year blow-out.

Re: Champagne Question
I'm no expert by any means, but he looks to be Gold Champagne, especially when you look at his face. The sooty is super interesting and makes for an unique color!BlackOak2 wrote:To all those that know their champagne's better than I.

It's so easy to flip-flop on these colors, considering what could be at work here.
But you have a point, there doesn't appear to be any bay characteristics.

Re: Champagne Question
He looks like Gold Champagne to me. If he were Amber Champagne, he would have the darker points, but that is not shown in this picture. The dark mane and tail are most likely from the sooty gene that is expressed in his coat. I hope this helps!BlackOak2 wrote:To all those that know their champagne's better than I.
