She's so cuuuuute! For a moment I got mad excited and thought white patterns had been added in and I nailed a splashed white out of nowhere. I hope she blows this coat into something else, though.

Yep, this is very possible. Gold champagne is chestnut based, so that's one e for sure. And wild bay is black based (which is dominant), so your mare must have been E/e or she couldn't have produced an e/e foal.

Ah yes, I know it's possible, just not what I was expecting! I was hoping for a lovely bay champagne or something. :P
