Value?

Post by NBK »

I am just curious as to what the current value of these horses are color wise, as I rarely see horses with their coat color.

For breeding and selling.

I remember a while back I saw a horse with this coat color going for stud at $100k per breeding...but haven't seen horses like for sale. And am curious what the value is since they're rather rare and I don't get low ball offered

I know I had my Silver Dapple Black Pearl AC horse up for $100K at one point for a bit, when I was breeding to him to discourage others from breeding to him

Ah okay, so for for future stud prices what do you believe is fair? Considering it's a rather rare color I would prefer to not have people breed their horse to mine for a low price if they do carry this same gene, since it is a personal coat color project, but at the same time I do not want the players who have horses they want to breed pay a fortune if they do not receive the desired coat color. If that makes sense.

Alright, sounds good. I plan to first start them off at Private stud. But most of the time I get no business then...

When it a stud is up with the description 'Private Stud', especially if the words accompany it include such words as Please and Thank You, our community does attempt to avoid such breedings out of courtesy.
So if it says Private Stud, you won't get much business.

I agree with what was said before my post.
It's tough when determining value or price on either studding or sale prices.
It always comes down to 'What makes My Stud or Sale Horse different from others?"

Keep that in mind and don't forget to publish the answer when you post or advertise your horse. The better production he (or they) have, the more lucrative and higher value they can attain.

Also, if you're publishing them as color studs, it might help to have not only the genetic makeup in view for easy access, but maybe also describe the colors that will likely be thrown.
