I think I'm within a generation of producing the pureblood belgians. There's a bit of dun mixed in, a bit of pangare and flaxen as well. I need to get the dun to hold on for the next generation and hopefully make the pangare go away.
These are the fourth generation I've just produced:
















I think they're all 80% belgian or better... but I haven't actually checked.

Your first suggestion of a month was likely very accurate. That first and second generation was like pulling teeth to throw the viable genes.

What am I on now... 18 days? I don't know... too long for this project in reality.

I've since put it on the fast-track. I moved a bunch of horse's around and I'm speeding through turns at the moment. Multiple years every day, so I'm really hoping this batch ages up and throws the pure's when they're ready to breed.
We'll see.

It's likely she'll die before the end of this project, but she's being helpful as well:
