How many pastures on a farm?

Post by WitchWolf »

From what I saw so far, in order to add another pasture, I need to expand my farm first. All well and good. However! I already reached maximum depth and only one more width to go. Trying to add another medium pasture gets me the "you must expand your farm..." message. So, if I expand the farm one more time, next time I want to add a pasture I... can do what, exactly?

Also kinda confusing: browsing through random farms of both premium and non-premium players on here, I'm seeing dozens of pastures. How does one cram so many into one farm?

In short, does the game expects me to expand the farm each time I want to add a pasture regardless of the pasture size, what happens when I reach the maximum 5 depth and 5 width and is there an upper limit to the number of pastures and barns one can comfortably squeeze into the farm space?

    • Depth can be expanded only few times (4 to be exact) because of how the farm layout is pre-drawn. It wouldnt make sense if you could put pastures on hills. I am not sure about the max width tho. I am at width size 13 right now (44000 to increase it again).

As said - width can be expanded quite a few times. You can check out my farm and see how many pastures and barns I have and i still can expand it or put more on my current count.

Ah, so width can be expanded way more than depth. thanks!

But each time I want to add another pasture, I *must* expand the farm further? It seems counter-intuitive (not to mention ridiculously expansive!), especially since i've been asked for an increase no matter if I tried adding a small or a medium pasture. One would thing that the space that's enough for, say, one medium pasture would easly accomodate two small ones for example...

    • Nope you wont need to expand your farm every time you add a new pasture or farm c:
I have 1 Large barn, 2 small barns and 18 large pastures - 21 total and I ve expanded my farm 17 times in total and I propably can add more pastures to my current expand aswell.

    • No problem c: I wish I could give you exact numbers, but I pretty sure they havent been shared and there isnt anyone that hit max width yet.

I am a fan of Dragon Age, but the name is after city in Scotland c:

I'l keep an eye out for those numbers in the future then. As is, I had to expand my farm each time I added a pasture and am very broke as a result. Finding out how many pastures each next expansion after this one allows me to have would be quite useful.

Thanks again for all your help. :)

I believe all structures take up the same amount of "space" on farms, so it would be wisest to buy the largest ones.

And I believe the max width is 20; I'm currently at 15, with room to grow.
