Silver Classic Grullo? Maybe? What do y'all think?

He's definitely silver, but the ground color is throwing me off. He was born pale with freckling, so definitely champagne there. But then he darkened to this slate color with very strong dun markings, so definitely dun. His sire would have to be a Classic Champagne if he's Grullo (because dam is Bay), but I'm not sure that his coloring indicates that.
Thoughts?
