Help. I’m new!
Hey!
1. I was wondering how ya earn money quick in this game (the $)?
I’m new (joined yesterday)
2. And also tell me a little about genetics. How does the breeding work?
3. And what am I looking for in a horse? When I buy a horse what’s the most important thing to think about?
4. And when does a horse die? Is it at an certain age? Can it starve?
5. Does equipment matter in performance? Or is it just there cause it looks good?
Thnx in advance

Hi!
Welcome to the game. Here are some answers to your questions - hope this is helpful
.
1. The easiest and fastest way to earn money is to do Local Shows with your horse. These are found under the Local Shows tab on your horse's page and you can choose which to compete in. I suggest doing any of the Level 1 shows, as the entry fee for those is $0. If you're really in need of money, you can also mow your pastures. Other ways of making money include competing in competitions, training/champing horses for other people, or selling horses you've bred - however, all of these methods probably require a bit more experience and definitely take a lot more work.
2. The genetics in this game are really intricate and there are a lot of guides in the Help Guides section under the Help tab. I suggest reading through there first, as my personal understanding of genetics is rather cursory (I just sort of play around and have fun - understanding the details of genetics is too time consuming for my playing style). Perhaps someone else can be more helpful with this.
3. What you're looking for in a horse is very dependent on your goal(s) for the horse. I, for example, am a big breeder, so, when I'm in the market for a horse, I look for horses with a particular color (right now I'm a big fan of chestnuts and bays) and high HGPs (> 55k at min. but preferably >60k) to add to my herd for breeding. You may want to focus on training/competing, in which case you'll want a horse with lots of green or gold stats. If this is the case, I recommend poking around the forum for players that give away these nice horses either cheap or at a discount to new players - it's a great way to start. Basically, I recommend looking at the stats and HGP always, the color if you care for breeding, and checking out the horse's sire/dam/bloodlines is helpful too.
4. Horses can only die of old age (starving has not yet been implemented in the game). I believe horses can die starting at age 18, and the older they get the more likely for them to pass away. Mares can't die when pregnant, but they can die when the foal is born. For this reason, it's common for players to extend a mare's life by keeping them pregnant so that they cannot die. Something to note as well: you can rehome a horse, in which case the horse will no longer exist in the game, and you cannot see it's profile (unlike dying, where the profile still exists).
5. Equipment does not matter in performance. It's just for aesthetics.
Hope that was helpful!
