North African Barbos with a protruding mane.
I would like to ask a question about North African barbs, if I can create barbs with a stubby mane (is it possible at all)
I happened to my NAB mare with a horseman stallion (he has a protruding mane) can I teach offspring with a protruding mane?
Can I make a clean NAB (100%) with a protruding mane if I clean the blood with clean nabs (or is it impossible to transmit this gene, and NABs will have a mane sticking out only if it is local?)

Re: North African Barbos with a protruding mane.
As far as I understand the game mechanics, everything about horse appearance works based on real genetics. So for each feature such as coat color, white markings, feathers and mane type the horse has two genes, the combination of which describes how it will look. The gene for standing mane seems to be recessive in this game, which means it will only be visible if the horse has two of them.Pikas_so wrote:I would like to ask a question about North African barbs, if I can create barbs with a stubby mane (is it possible at all)

So, basically, it is possible to breed a purebred NAB with a standing mane if you use this tactic:
1. Breed a purebred NAB to a horse with a standing mane. You'll need to get two foals of the opposite sex.
2. Breed the two foals together until you get a foal with a standing mane from them. Now you have a horse with a standing mane which is 50% NAB.
3. Repeat step 1 using your new 50% NAB instead of a random horse. Again, you'll need two foals.
4. Repeat step 2 with the new foals.
5. Repeat the same steps until you get a 100% NAB with a standing mane.
P.S. This tactics worked well for my Bashkir breeding project, but I may be mistaken somewhere so correct me if something is wrong

Thank you very much for the advice, I will try your method)
