Black out of pally & brown(grey)?
Hi guys! I know a tiny bit about RL horse genetics as I am a 'real' horse person..
This was my first breeding pair.
There's not much doubt the mare is pally, and I owned the sire when he was less grey, he was definitely brown and not black.
Is the foal going to change colour as she ages, or have I got a genetic anomaly?
This is the foal:

Thanks guys!

Not an anomoly. Pretty standard, actually. The palomino mare is e/e -/a and the greying brown stallion is E/- At/a. Dominant E makes the horse black-based (bay, brown, or black), and recessive a/a makes the horse black (rather than bay, A, or brown, At, or wild bay, A+).

Thanks! I don't really know much about agouti.. I was banking on the foal being either creme influenced or boring brown
Do you think the foal is going to grey? I can sort of see goggles but can't zoom in to have a better look.

No, it's just the skin around the eye being a bit shiny. By one year, grey would be a bit more obvious.

No problemo, thanks heaps to both of you for such swift replies
Feeling like a lot of a newb!
