Thoughts on a Competition Club

Please do that it would really help!
Since I didn't want to hijack the original thread this came up in I decided to make a new one and also invite other players to share their thoughts on the possible pros and cons of something like this. The Double R Ranch wrote: love this idea
I've been toying with the idea of starting a Competition Community where we ask for certain shows to be hosted or for more entires in shows that should have already run and help make competing more viable for those who don't use their sides as holding accounts. I switched out of racing on my other account because my horses would age and die before the shows run and I could only enter one per show so just entering more horses was not an option.
I'm working up a post with some guidelines and such and will post it when I feel I've thought things through enough. It could be a great thing to have but I wouldn't want to see people constantly pinging or messaging players capable of hosting higher level shows all the time, so I'm thinking people who can host them might be able to make a recurring show at a certain level or discipline. I don't think the lower levels are too hard other than the racing events and maybe Western Trail or Pleasure (I think one or both of those might be single rider entries too).
For shows that need more entries in order to run, there should be a rule that it has to be a show that is past time to run. There is no real way to enforce any of these rules, of course, and I am sure that there are things I'm overlooking as well.
I was also thinking we could have a list in the first post of players who host recurring shows at differing levels and disciplines. That could allow people to enter those shows and fill them so they run on time.
I'm also wondering where the best place for the thread would be. It would be a community of sorts, but it's not focused on breeding so maybe general chit chat would be better.
At any rate, this is where I am in regards to this right now. I'd love to hear any advice or opinions on this from any interested parties.

I ,as already stated, support this idea whole heartedly. I would be willing to help with running shows when needed although since I am not premium would not be able to put repeating competitions up but could still put them up regularly(I can go up to level ten on both this account and my side Snoopy). I also feel like this would be a good place for people to encourage entering into some of the less popular events.Hilayla wrote: Since I didn't want to hijack the original thread this came up in I decided to make a new one and also invite other players to share their thoughts on the possible pros and cons of something like this.

although I'm not premium, and I can only do about 7 shows on level 7/8 on both my main and side account, (but working on increasing them) im certainly willing to assist with hosting comps!
In one sense, there almost needs to be a chat per competition forum... but that would be huge lol!

sorry havent got any helpful thoughts right at the moment

Hey don't mean to harass you but have you put anymore thought into starting this up?Hilayla wrote: At any rate, this is where I am in regards to this right now. I'd love to hear any advice or opinions on this from any interested parties.

Sorry, real life got hectic and I haven't really had the time or energy for games lately. Good thing this is turn-based and I won't lose all my stock. I'm fine with someone else running with this idea as I don't know when I will be back full time.
