If you're not getting any ping notifications, then admin will have to look at it. I'm sure they were working before and it's not like the code is that difficult to use...

It's a curiosity, but it might be an indication of a new bug popping up. It could also be the internet cache. Although that would be the first time I've heard of pings being affected by the cache.
