Thanks, and can you believe that I got him for $100?! I think people think that if the horse is cheap it is worthless. Also what I like about this competition is that even if you don't win you still get a great horse.

Yes. And that's why it's worth to do a little bit of research on the market, the horses' histories, their progeny if they have any and so forth. I can't count the number of times I pulled $1 potential grinders from the market and watched them pull in easily 100k in player-made comps. Many, of which, I sent to newbies or returnees or sold outright for usually somewhere under 50k.
It can be quite easy to earn money on this game, IF one is careful about how they do so. Of course, an account does need certain things in order to tackle some of them, like training skills.
