I decided to also take part in this great project and wow I'm usually not fond of greying on horses but this actually looks quite nice! <3

Re: Akhal-Teke
Do we need to do anything with the Akal's we produce, or does them just existing count towards the project?

Re: Akhal-Teke
They need to be +3 or higher, and need to not be rehomed. Other than that you can do whatever you want with them. Train them, show them, freeze them, age them out, whatever.xXxDruidxXx wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2024 11:58 am Do we need to do anything with the Akal's we produce, or does them just existing count towards the project?![]()

oof thanks! Any help is welcomePearl II wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2024 2:55 amIn order to count for the project they need to be 3rd-gen or higher (so [+3] or more after their breed label, yours are currently at [+2]). You'll also want lower COI if you want their genetics to play a bigger impact in what gets put into the AC. There are plenty of us with [+3], 0% COI stock frozen if you would like a boost.brettdiesel wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2024 7:25 pm Hey, I have some new Akhal - Teke's

Re: Akhal-Teke
Producing my first third generations. Like with the Exmoor's I'm breeding, these are nothing special... but I do have gray in the line. Neither one of these first two are gray, but eventually I'll have some gray babies; point is, they're both 5 star.

Re: Akhal-Teke
Good afternoon!
I am close to the end of 0 5-gen coi akhal-teke [+4]. I was confused by the messages above, was [+3] enough?
It so happened that I miscalculated, and I got 4 horses [+3], which is great, so I can try to bring out +5 cremello! I was very excited about this idea. Buying horses from AC for the project turned out to be quite expensive... 16 Turkmen and 16 Arab horses is a lot, I used my second farm, where I used to breed a Russian dressage trotter. The project seemed exciting, but I'm unlikely to be able to repeat this with the Exmoor pony xD, I don't have enough space to save precious AC horses.
Tell me, if I put horses on a reserve farm for the project, so that they do not age, will it be acceptable? Or is it necessary that I have horses on my farm (GrayGray)? The most important question is, can I breed horses for the project further? Namely, can they have children, or not?
Thanks!

Re: Akhal-Teke
+3 is enough to get a trophy for contributing to the project.
It can certainly be expensive to try and breed all the horses entirely on your own, which is why we want to encourage players to work together and share the horses they've bred. You can also use public studs or purchase AC breeds from other players. Lots of ways to try and make it a more affordable project.
Horses can stay on a reserve farm, and in fact if they retire naturally (not rehomed) that will still count to win the trophy, but their genetics won't be considered towards the project as a retired/rehomed horse has their genetics deleted.
The only other point to remember is that the breeder of the horse (as recorded when the mare is bred, not when the foal is born) is who will win the trophy. So if the horse is bred by your reserve account and not your main account then thats where the trophy will be awarded. But do not worry, we'll give lots of notice once they breeding project is about to close (Akhal-Teke will be soon, but Exmoor will have much more time still).
Absolutely, you can continue to breed the horses and use them however you wish.

Re: Akhal-Teke
Will it count if I breed my 2nd Gen Akhal-Teke with someone else's 3rd Gen? I am almost done with my project.
