Erm?
So.... I might have unintentionally bred a 65 speed colt...?
https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/4017443
I'm so confused. My lines went from the higher 40s to now the low 60s?? I now have racing feathered mohawk TBs. Not to mention the two 64 gals I have - one even got a flash comment!
Confused yet excited.
Wish me luck with this new finding!

Okay - https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/4018426 ???
Out of two 56 speeds sprouts yet another 65. I'm on a roll, people!
If anyone would like to train this duo, please let me know ASAP!

Re: Double Erm!
So bizarre! Even clicking back a few generations, I don't see any speeds over 60. Looks like you found the magic pairingSetting Sun wrote:Okay - https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/4018426 ???

I can train them both today. Let me know when they are up for offers!

Re: Double Erm!
Yeah, I have been lightly monitoring the speeds of my stocks and they've been averaging the low 50s until they've been paired and apparently been the magic match!MysticSunflower wrote:So bizarre! Go ahead and offer on the second, so I can send her back to you as soon as she is done.

Re: Double Erm!
He sure is! I do try and keep them on the taller side since that is usually combined with long legs and of course long legs = speed.MysticSunflower wrote:First one is done and up for offers! Re: Double Erm!
I typically charge 75k as a base price for training. Since we didn't discuss it beforehand, you can offer whatever you are comfortable with this time around.Setting Sun wrote:He sure is! Re: [× Mossy Oak Acres ×]
I love your posts!
I noticed on the first or second page you mentioned that you had a mare with some varnish setting in and you didn't know if she would pass that on or not. Well, I've had experience with varnishes, and pretty much all of their offspring carry the varnish on.
So annoying! I hate varnish.
Pretty much all of my thoroughbreds carry varnish. It's terrible. I'm considering getting new stock, maybe. Although these lines have a lot of history...
