Lusitano, Latvian Riding Horse, Hackney
Lusitano: Andalusian x (Sorraia x WAB)
Foals Bred: 144
I have two 4* stallions. One is too short, the other is too bulky. I also have this 4* mare who is not bulky, so I bred her to the too bulky stallion.Cross Petal
So between her, the stallions, and the foal, I'm hoping to have a decent Andalusian for this breed.
Both of my WAB stallions are terrible for this. They're too short and too horse. I have two mares who are also pretty terrible. I'll unfreeze the better one and see if I can breed better WABs for this, although I don't want too many since this is the last breed I need WABs for.
I have this Sorraia to use who is 4* as she's too short
Hurricane Crystal
Hopefully she can make a decent foal with one of my WAB stallions and then if I can get an Andalusian on the taller side, this could work.
This took far too long and several of my mares died in the process. BUT HE IS HERE
Ramblin' Oblivion
Quest Complete 10 Dec 23!
Latvian Riding Horse: Norfolk Trotter x Anglo-Arabian
Foals Bred: 8
Both of my Norfolk Trotters are pretty bad for this breed, so once I get started with the Hackney, I'll breed a few more Norfolk Trotters from them and hope they're better. Both are older so I should be replacing them anyway if I'm gonna keep the breed around. One of the pluses of having started breeding Anglo-Arabians with more bulk is that I now have a 5* filly
Strawberry Symbol
Once she's aged up, I'll see if there's a decent stud available and start trying to get this breed done.
Strawberry came through for me! Nice to have a quick one!
Midday Hummingbird
Quest Complete 19 Aug 23!
Hackney: (Arabian x Norfolk Trotter) x (Norfolk Trotter x TB)
Foals Bred: 0
I have 2 5* Norfolk Trotter maresDream Reality
Harmony Psychic
So I'm thinking breed one to an Arabian, one to a TB and hope I get opposite genders.
My TB and Arabians are no good here, but there should be something available on the market.
Was able to find some decent TBs and Arabians and made some 5* crosses and got a Hackney on the first try!
Mermaids Reverse
Quest Complete 25 Nov 23!

Welsh Mountain Pony, Boulannais, Brandenburger
Welsh Mountain Pony: (TB x Hackney) x (Exmoor Pony x Arabian)
Foals Bred: 10
I have three TBs who are 4* - two are too short, one is too tall. So naturally, I bred the too tall one to one of the short ones. My Hackneys are terrible. Too tall, too horse. But hopefully it's not a big deal since everything else should work out. My lone Exmoor is too tall and too bulky, but I think with one of my Arabian rejects who is shorter and on the lighter side of bulkiness would work out well. Although maybe having extra bulk on this cross would be good if the TB x Hackney is gonna be less bulky.
Another fast one!
Courageous Magic
Quest Complete 12 Dec 23!
Boulannais: Spanish Barb x (Arabian x Forest Horse)
Foals Bred: 4
None of my Spanish Barbs are good here. They're mostly too short, not bulky, and too horse. Which is also the downside of Arabians. And Forest Horses aren't bulky or pony enough to make up for the differences here. So. I'm gonna be on the lookout in my Arabian rejects for a taller foal, and if I'm very lucky, I can get one who is tall and built heavy, although I don't seem to get a lot of heavy ones these days. In the meantime, I'll be breeding my Spanish Barbs to hopefully be a little better. I have this 4* Arabian x Forest Horse mare
Honeydew Samurai
She's too short, but I feel that's a good match for my Spanish Barb stallion who is the right height, but not bulky or pony enough. At least, it should be possible that I get a foal with the right combination of traits, so might as well go for it!
Honeydew's first foal was a winner!
Crackling Tiger
I'll probably age him up and freeze him. I'd really like a mare, so I'll keep trying with Honeydew, but if not, I can work with a stallion.
Quest Complete 11 Dec 23!
Brandenburger: Trakehner x Hanoverian
Foals Bred: 5
I don't have Trakehners anymore and doesn't seem to be any for sale. But there are studs, although most are not very good. There is one decent one. For the most part, they're too horsey and not bulky. On the Hanoverian side, I do have a 5* stallion, although he's not much good without a Trakehner mare. So what I may do is breed a half Trakehner so I can at least attempt with him, but I'll also breed him to my Hanoverian mares and hope to get more decent Hanoverians.
I have this 3* half Trakehner
Bewildering Rebellion
She should work out, but if not, maybe I can breed her to a tall Trakehner to get her height up, although I don't want to lose too much body size.
Another quick breed!
Starstruck Gumdrop
And the best part is I don't need to hold onto this breed for anything!

First off I want to start by saying I have loved seeing your journey on this project!
Second off I have an arab stud on my side that might be of interest for your boulannais depending on if you deal with outside blood!

That's his link, he is still too short but is heavy enough, and pony type enough as welll as being .5% not enough body size.
Anyways let me know if he could help you out at all and I can throw him up!

Re: Welsh Mountain Pony, Boulannais, Brandenburger
I would definitely be interested in breeding to him! I have a Forest Horse mare who's got the height, so they could make a pretty decent foal together!Woodstock wrote:Hello!Corvus wrote:Welsh Mountain Pony: (TB x Hackney) x (Exmoor Pony x Arabian)Foals Bred: 0I have three TBs who are 4* - two are too short, one is too tall. Perfect I will get him put up right away then! I also have a heavier Tb if that would be of any interest to you?Corvus wrote:I would definitely be interested in breeding to him! I have a Forest Horse mare who's got the height, so they could make a pretty decent foal together!Woodstock wrote:

Re: Welsh Mountain Pony, Boulannais, Brandenburger
Thank you! ♥♥♥ I should be good on TBs for now, since I have some that are almost perfect for the WMP but thank you so much!Woodstock wrote:Perfect I will get him put up right away then! I also have a heavier Tb if that would be of any interest to you?Corvus wrote:

Sounds good! If he runs out of energy and you want him refreshed just ping me and I will try to get that done in a timely manner! Otherwise let me know when you are done with him so I can take him down.Corvus wrote:Thank you! ♥♥♥ I should be good on TBs for now, since I have some that are almost perfect for the WMP but thank you so much!Woodstock wrote:

Re: Welsh Mountain Pony, Boulannais, Brandenburger
I got several decent foals from him, including a few 4*s! I think I should have enough at this point. Thank you so much for letting me use him!Woodstock wrote:Sounds good! Danish Warmblood, Hackney Pony, Merens Pony
Danish Warmblood: (TB x Frederiksborg) x Trakehner
Foals Bred: 13
The bulky Trakehners I used for Brandenburgers are also good for Danish Warmbloods, so I'm gonna try this one. None of my Frederiksborgs are particularly good for this breed, but fortunately, there's enough variety in available TBs that I was able to find a good pairing for one of my mares. I have this 4* Trakehner stallion who is too tall
Lunar Trot
And if my TB x Frederiksborg is a stallion, I have a 4* mare!
Mighty Ray
My first TB x Frederiksborg is a filly and she's 4*!
Taunting Lady
She's too short, so that works nice with my too tall Trakehner stallion
And this one is done! I'll age him up and freeze him until I'm ready to make the one breed I need this one for.
Naturally Rain
Quest Complete 18 Dec 23!
Hackney Pony: Hackney x Fell
Foals Bred: 2
All my hopes and dreams lie with this 5* fillyRandom Sunlight
My other Hackney is a 4* mare I have several 4* Fells who are too bulky. I also have a 4* mare who is too short. I have this 4* colt I plan on using
Distorted Poppyseed
He's way too bulky, but I'll try using him anyway. I'll also breed my too short Fell to him as well in hopes of getting an even better Fell to work with. Ideally, I'll have a Fell colt since my Hackneys are both mares.
And it turned out to be a Fell mare I had sitting around that gave me a Hackney Pony!
Aqua Blast
Quest Complete 13 Dec 23!
Merens Pony: (Tarpan x Fell) x Friesian
Foals Bred: 9
My Friesians tend to be not bulky and too horse. I've only been slowly working on that problem, and I have a few 3*. Most of mine are also too tall. I did pick up this stallion.Trial of Offense
He's 3*, but he's just a touch too short and he's too bulky, so that should work out nicely with mine. I will breed some of my mares to him and see if I get something a little better to work with.
On the Tarpan side of things, I have one 4* stallion who is too short, and a 3* mare who is too short and not quite bulky enough, although she's not so far off. So she might be a good candidate.
My Fells are all over the place. They're all too short, but bulk and horse/pony is all over the place. Several are 3* so hopefully I can get a few decent Fells, but even if the Tarpan x Fell ends up being a bit shorter, the Friesian should make up for that.
And Merens Pony is done!
