Retiring Bred Horses

what about an early retirement pasture to house the horses we do not want to breed anymore till they go to greener pastures,but they would not be able to be bred and also do not count toward the number of horses allotted to each player?

Well, if we're going with realism, how about an option to sell/donate the horse to be a lesson horse? I know that some people will donate horses to non-profit riding places (i.e therapeutic riding) and will be tax write offs since it's essentially the same as donating to a charity.

Way back when before things started being reprogrammed, HWO had a similar option. Players were able to sell a horse to a family and if I recall, it was either a flat rate or based on how much training the horse had. I can't rightfully remember since it's been too many years.

Anyway. If such a thing was set up, the horses could be sent to a game account that's non-viewable and the current owner could be listed as "riding stable". From there, perhaps the account could be set up to take x amount of turns per day in order to eventually age out the horses.

Eury, I believe that feature is coming back, but it may not apply to bred horses.

Instead of making it so that horses can't be rehomed if they have children... I'm considering making a change so that ANY horse can be rehomed (but still not breaking pedigrees) but it can only be done for free (like now) while the horse is under 3 years old. After tha it would cost 5PT to rehome them.

Eww. I'd much prefer the current system to having to pay to rehome older horses.
