And yess!! I do think that I still have a huge soft spot for the larger 13hh ones in part because thats where I started and in part for the fact that they're just so cute, but I can not get over these tiny ones!!

AHAHA yess!! Literally it can get so exciting when you get the foals. Basically the whole kick in it is the foals height, and my mares used to be quite unpredictable as of recent I've had so many successes, and foals that are well past the smallest I've seen! Really, the smallest arabian I've seen so far was 14 Inches at birth, and already I've bred, kept and sold so many that are smaller than that, it's amazing!~besthorsebreeder~ wrote:Omg I’m so coming back once these ones age out a little… I think I’ve found my addictionWillowStarstep wrote:

LOL! Yeah I was shocked! I'm so glad I've got the mares I have! Considering my smallest current horse is only the 4th Generation from my original, my mares have been so successful so far and it's payed off! This is really the first breeding project I've done, other than my sub - par HGP breeding that led into these Mini Arabs. I think you'll find that it won't be long before you find yourself with the tiniest foals, if it took my awkward breeding skills only 4 generations then I'm sure anyone else can breed some amazing horses in no time!!!~besthorsebreeder~ wrote:That’s so cool!!! do you have any tips?!? Hmm- I suppose anything smaller than the original parents is a huge achievement! If its smaller than the original parents, keep and try it out. I also found that my life saver was that studs can be amazing and if you find the right one you'll have a huge headstart! AND ALSO, Once you get to the smaller ones, set standards! For example, right now the tallest I will keep generally is 20 Inches at birth, but I make exceptions sometimes for coat or HGP. BUT, Theres always a way out of a pit where you feel stuck, keep that in mind!! With these, in the early days I was constantly finding that I couldn't breed a small enough horse, and on a small budget left with only a stallion and a few mares that were all 15 - 20 Hands, it was a struggle. So, work slow if you need to, small steps, AND HAVE FUN!!!
