Anyone else get effected by this Coronavirus?

I work as a crew member in the film industry in Los Angeles. Almost all productions (commercials, features/"Movie" and TV shows) have shut down almost overnight. There is no work to be had, which means LOTS of people out here will not be collecting paychecks for probably at least a month. My husband and I were both on jobs this week that canceled mid-production. So we are suddenly unemployed!

I'm really sorry to hear that you and your husband have both suddenly unemployed I really hope that things work out for you for you guys and that you stay healthy and safe! I thought it was bad that my shifts are work are being cut down so I only work like once or twice a week...

Plus, the panic buying is serious. As a healthy young-ish person, I'm honestly more scared by people's crazy reaction to this than the virus itself...

Thank you, Hazel3 - fortunately, we're in a situation where we *should* be ok, as long as this only lasts a month or two. It's certainly frustrating, though, to have to change big plans and financial structuring around so dramatically and so quickly. But I know we're far from the only people dealing with this.

My school was shut down a week ago, also all restaurants are closed for dine in. My theatre performance this spring was also cancelled, I even got lead role

Me too i was one of three leads and now it looks as if all preform aces wont be able to be rescheduled. We’ve been rehearsing since august.
Luckily i was Abe to get chick fil a right before all restaurants were closed so I’m not too sad about that

3 teachers in my school got COVID-19 and 1 was my friend's teacher and he subbed my teacher too! My school is closed until May! There are a bunch of diplomat children so that might be why. We get to do online school *yay* (not). The only good thing 'bout COVID-19 is that while school is in progress I get to take sneak peeks at HWO!! Something that scares me is that children (like me) with a healthy immune system can have COVID but not be sick which means I could give it to my parents . On a happier note did you guys (gals) see the Vietnamese health department wash your hand's song along with its tik-tok dance? Also, a lot of the candidates for the presidency could die of COVID. In Canada the prime minister's wife got COVID! I've heard rumours that animals can get COVID, so careful with your pets!

You're welcome- oh that's good! I'm sure the virus won't last longer than a few months, I heard it was already toning down in China! (At least I hope so )

Yeah it's bad I never thought everything would be shut down everywhere once I started hearing about the virus... it didn't seem like the big deal it's turned into!
