Also Ive tried barns and pasture before it seems like pasture is easier. You keep the pasture mowed between 20%-30% for bigger horses; 3mths before they are fully trained. For the mini horses their weight is a little harder to maintain so you can keep the pasture mowed at 0%-15% to maintain weight then 3mths before fully trained adjust their weight (dwindle the feed you are giving them)

It does take a while but I find movement is also quite difficult
