I’ve been training my hanovs endlessly for a couple of days- and Quicksand’s done! Hurricane is doing fairly well too.

I’m working on getting a Holstein. It’s not going great, but I’m making progress. I bred my Cleveland Bay Memory (*3 Hanov) to a Norfolk Trotter (*5 Hanov) and got:
Dragonfly, *3

Hoping for a better horse, I bred the two together again and got another colt. But he evaluated as N/A :(.

Still looking for a trakehner mare. I don’t want to start a trake project from scratch- but if I need to, I guess I will.

Hey, I was wondering if you would get this guy’s energy up so I can use him as a stud?

I also would like to buy a Hanoverian from you. Would you consider selling either Dragonsong or Appian Way?

Thanks.

Would it be possible for you to put her up for offers? If you think the price I post is enough, you accept?

So, I got the mare!
Nova

Thanks to Enshadowed for giving her to me, and to Zebra for finding her in the market a couple days ago. I really appreciate it. Nova’s rated a *4 in both Hanov and Holstein books. After finding her, all that was left to do was find a good Trake stud- and I found one! I’ve been looking for mares for the past bit to match a thoroughbred I had, so I hadn’t bothered looking at the studs. I only had to scroll a couple pages back to find Amity Affliction! Thank you Bridlepath for the lovely stud. He’s rated a *5 in the Holstein book. I’m really glad I found him.

Training has been going well too. I’m almost done Hurricane’s training, and she’s only 4 years and 9 months :D . But her mane....
Hurricane

Up until 4, she had a small strip of hair running down her neck. And suddenly- boom. She’s gotta fluffy mane. I’m a tiny bit obsessed with it.

I’ve been running local shows on Quicksand and it turns out he’s best at working ranch. He’s 6 y/o now, and I want to start entering him in competitions. I’m not sure how he’ll place, but I’m interested. I’m also done with Hurricane’s training! She’s 792.4%, which is fine with me. I don’t feel the need to get her all the way to 799.9%.

I also bred Hurricane to Arthur Morgan, and she threw me a lovely filly.
Aurora

Aurora’s a 3rd gen hanov. I probably won’t train her, and will be looking to lower her COI

Memory

Memory also lso passed away, after giving me a *2 Cleveland bay x Norfolk trotter. All I have now is a *3 Cleveland bay x Norfolk, Memory’s first colt. I really hope he breeds well. If he doesn’t I might have look into breeding my own Cleveland bays.

Well, it’s been a few days since I’ve last played. I’ve been on sporadically to complete courses and use up my 6 days, but I haven't been actively playing the game. I logged on today and found that someone had bred to Quicksand a few times- and I proceeded to have a bit of a happy moment. Hey, my stud was actually used! It required a happy dance. I stalked their farm for a bit (sorry!) and I found they had quite a few first gen hanovs but didn’t own any Holsteins. This prompted me to go through one of their horses’s pedigree and figure out how it was happening. And then I found one. A pureblood Holstein.Zanzibar. how have I not found you sooner?

So basically I just need to breed him to my thoroughbred mare Nova, and I’ll have a Hanoverian. I’m not sure why I didn’t think to look for a holstein stud, but the thought just never crossed my mind. :(. Well, better late than never!

I haven’t been using my days very fast so there’s really nothing to say. I created a side account a while ago to hold ‘grinders’ or whatever they’re called. It seems like a good idea to have a few at all times so I always have a good source of money. Right now it’s just a frozen account with a couple of studs. I’m thinking of moving Quicksand there, as he’s been doing nothing but get older and gain weight. I put him up for offers as a test to see how much a fully trained (mostly) hanov would get me.
