Appaloosa is a breed of horse, not a colouring. Tiger Eye Chestnut Snowcap is the correct term as spotted patterns are incapable of appearing with the varnish (also called marble) gene, thus rendering the addition of 'varnish' as useless. In this game, horses that are snowcaps have small spots, whilst proper blankets have much larger spots that sometimes appear to have spots in them.

This is good to know! I need to go read the color guide again, I don't usually bother but it's really interesting know :)

appaloosa is a coloring trust me i am taking my bhs exam on this stuff
