I would be interested! I don't have much expertise when it comes to searching and finding grinders to train. Most I get are random and absolutely terrible for turns. I've started breeding horses more often, since out-of-game life has slowed, and it gets extremely frustrating when I am breeding and I run out of turns.Gabby_Woodlark wrote:Okay... So would anyone be interested if I didn't require you to not breed them?

Okay, thanks!Gabbys Pets wrote:As I stated in my post, I might be selling some of my valuable grinder line. I gave one to Iris Rock Stables for now because I know she needed one and I can ask her for feedback once he retires. Right now, though, I have some extra grinders scattered around on my GabbysPets account if you want to look there in the meantime.Hannah771 wrote: Hey Gabby, this is Hannah771, and I've been looking for a grinder for a while so that I can get Premium. Are you still selling any?

Re: Interested? PT & Turn Grinder Line Anybody?
I'd be interested! I'm always running out of grinders and money's not a big issue. I don't normally breed TBs anyway so I wouldn't breed any restricted grinders. I've been considering making a grinder line of TBs of my own and have a few horses collected for it but if you have a grinder line that you're considering opening up then I'd happily scrap mine and possibly donate them to you if you have use for them.
Pricewise, here's my advice:
Pricewise, here's my advice:
- $100k is usually an affordable baseline for more experienced players who will be more likely to agree to your no-breeding terms. Anything over $250k might be harder to sell unless it's due to an auction bid war.
- $100k is also pretty good if the horses come pre-trained before 3 years of age.
- Depending on the HGP, you could go for much higher than that.
- Depending on any titles you could also raise the price.
- My experience with buying, training, champing, and selling market TBs is that I've had income anywhere from $100k to over $2M. To be fair this is due to bidding battles since I have my sale set up as an auction. As some misc info, I train to 99.9% in each stat that I can and champ the horses in each discipline that they're good for to give an idea of the quality of horse. For TBs that's usually Racing, Sprint, Steeple, Harness, and Endurance if they're stuck at BP. Sometimes I also do Poles or Barrels.
- ***Note that restricting breeding might mean lower interest; a lot of my sales were likely based on the horses doing well in competitions and therefore being good breeding prospects for heart
- Auctions are good if you're training the horse yourself. You'll be able to do one sale at a time and not have to worry about churning out trained horses, plus if there's a good bidding battle you might get a lot more for a horse than you probably should've. You can set up a buyout option and make note of a minimum bid with this setup; mine are 100k minimum to 5M maximum, but putting the buyout at 500k could also be a good option to sell horses faster since bidding wars often get that high.
- Normal flat-rate sales are good if you have a large stockpile of horses and are looking to get rid of them at a faster pace. This is good for bulk selling untrained horses and foals. If you do this then it might be worth poking around and seeing if there's any trainers like me who will buy in bulk to train and sell themselves.
- If you're producing at a higher rate than you're training then it might be worth trying to partner with a trainer in which case you'd be giving them a chunk of the income in return for their help.
- You're basically looking to sell them for the cost of training, the cost of maintaining feed, the quality of horse/the horse's function, any champing that you do to the horse, and some amount of profit for your work. A good grinder can net you over $250k over its lifetime (not counting PTs), so take that in to consideration.
- Grinders also can be used as competition horses to net money that way, so keep that in mind with the pricing.

Re: Interested? PT & Turn Grinder Line Anybody?

I'm actually now going to make a grinder line that's just as good and has just as much potential, just without the private line and the super high HGP. The stallions will have an average of 67-69k HGP, with the mares 65-66k. Already working on it as I'm typing, though I'm running out of space faster than I would've liked.
